Nutrition Manifesto
We will…
…provide our children with a nutritionally balanced diet including at least 3 of their 5 a-day recommended food groups.
…provide our children with a great location to socialise at meal times, learning manners and etiquette.
…inform the parents each week about the food served and how well their child has eaten.
…ensure no ‘added sugar’ or fizzy drinks will be served to your children while they are in our care.
Our manifesto states how focused we are on providing your children with quality, home cooked food. Our trained chef has been cooking for over 20 years and has helped us to achieve our 5 Star Food Hygiene Certification.
Mel understands the importance of creating nutritious recipes using the main 4 food groups and only uses quality produce. They are so good, the staff enjoy them too.
Healthy snacks and drinks are available throughout the day including fruit, breadsticks, water and whatever delights the chef has rustled up in the kitchen.

Supervised Tooth Brushing Scheme
At Lilliput Kiddie Care Nursery, we are thrilled to announce the adoption of the Supervised Tooth Brushing Scheme, aimed at instilling healthy dental habits in our young learners. Understanding the importance of oral hygiene from an early age, we have integrated this scheme into our daily routine to promote dental care as an essential part of overall well-being.
Each morning and after lunch, our dedicated staff guide the children through a fun and educational tooth-brushing session, teaching them the proper techniques while ensuring they enjoy the process. By making tooth brushing a communal activity, we not only foster a sense of responsibility but also create a positive association with dental care that will benefit them for life.
Community Defibrillator
At Lilliput Kiddie Care Nursery, we are excited to announce the installation of a community defibrillator on our premises. This life-saving device is a crucial addition to our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our children, staff, and the broader community.
In the event of a cardiac emergency, having a defibrillator readily accessible can make a critical difference in providing immediate care before medical professionals arrive. We are proud to play a proactive role in our community’s health and safety by making this vital resource available to all who may need it. Rest assured, at Lilliput Kiddie Care, we prioritise preparedness and care in every aspect of our nursery environment.
Breastfeeding Friendly
At Lilliput Kiddie Care, we proudly embrace a breastfeeding-friendly environment that supports and encourages nursing mothers. We understand the importance of breastfeeding for both the physical and emotional well-being of infants and mothers alike. Our staff are trained to provide a welcoming atmosphere where mothers feel comfortable and supported during their breastfeeding journey.
We offer private spaces for nursing mothers to feed their babies in peace and privacy, ensuring a serene and nurturing experience. We also accommodate expressed breast milk, following strict hygiene and storage guidelines to maintain the highest standards of safety for our youngest charges.
Whether mothers choose to breastfeed directly or provide expressed milk, we honour and respect their decisions, promoting a positive and inclusive environment where every child’s feeding needs are met with sensitivity and care at Lilliput Kiddie Care.
